"Chestnut was once one of the most abundant hardwood species in the eastern United States, but a blight in the early 1900s nearly wiped it out," explains Mayan Metzler, founder of Terralux Home. "The remaining old-growth chestnut we source has a truly special character that you just can't replicate with new wood."

Terralux's design team works closely with each customer to understand their aesthetic preferences and how they want to use the space. From there, they'll help select the ideal wood species, finish, and hardware to complement the rest of the kitchen design.
